Our School knows how fun chess really is and we specialize in combining approaches that nurture a love for the game while creating young chess champions at the same time.  We offer after school classes, summer camps and tournaments along with private, group and family lessons.

Emma Harding, our President, took over the direction of Success Chess in 2019.  Previously, Emma had worked as a chess coach and administrator in the Fremont and San Jose areas for over 14 years.  As an experienced USCF tournament director and long-time site supervisor, she has a passion for working with children.  Thus, she wants to bring chess to as many children as possible!  Emma continues the Success Chess ideals of using chess to teach thinking, concentration, and reasoning skills, as well as learning good sportsmanship and how to make friends.  Ultimately, she believes that "Chess is a foundation for creativity and a fun hobby for life."
